Insurance Coverage
My HeartCheck screenings are generally offered as preventative screenings and are not typically billed through insurance.
For insurance to cover a medical service, there must usually be an underlying condition, symptom, or medical reason that justifies the testing. Most children do not have symptoms that would support billing insurance for these screenings.
If your child does have symptoms or a known concern, you and your pediatrician should discuss whether insurance-based testing through a physician, hospital, or cardiology office may be appropriate.
These same tests, when performed in a hospital or cardiology office, can cost close to $1,500 or more, with a significant portion potentially applied to your deductible or out-of-pocket responsibility.

Appointment Confirmation & Reminder Text Messages
By checking the SMS consent box during scheduling or when submitting a My HeartCheck website form, you agree to receive appointment-related text messages from My HeartCheck.
These messages may include booking confirmations, appointment reminders, scheduling updates, waitlist updates, event details, results notification messages, and other important service-related notifications regarding your scheduled HeartCheck appointment or requested screening information.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency may vary based on appointment activity, but you can generally expect up to 2 to 4 messages per appointment. Message and data rates may apply.
You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to the number from which you received the message. After you send STOP, we will send a confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed. After that, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us unless you opt in again.
If you want to rejoin, simply sign up again as you did the first time, and we will resume sending messages to you.
If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, you can reply HELP for more assistance, or contact us directly at 888-537-2597 or info@myheartcheck.org.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. For questions about your text or data plan, please contact your wireless provider.

Financial Assistance & Nonprofit Partnerships
My HeartCheck is a medical services organization that provides professional youth heart screenings, including EKGs and echocardiograms.
To help ensure cost is not a barrier to screening, My HeartCheck works with multiple independent nonprofit organizations that provide charitable support for families and communities in need. These partners include the Strive for Life Foundation and the Jordan Robert Mann Foundation, among others.
My HeartCheck automatically applies the first $40 of financial assistance toward every qualifying financial aid screening. When a parent requests financial assistance, pricing is adjusted immediately using a pre-established aid formula.
Additional assistance beyond the first $40 is supported through charitable partners, including Strive for Life Foundation and the Jordan Robert Mann Foundation, subject to available funding.
In addition to individual financial assistance, My HeartCheck works with nonprofit organizations to support fully funded heart screening events in underserved or high-risk communities. These events are designed to expand access to screenings for children who might otherwise go untested.
My HeartCheck provides the clinical screening services for all screenings and events at standard, fair-market rates. While My HeartCheck and its nonprofit partners are separate organizations with distinct roles, we share a common goal: protecting children by identifying hidden heart conditions early.
