Community HeartCheck event on Saturday, June 27, 2026, will offer preventative heart screenings for young people ages 8 to 25
EOLIA, Mo. — June 2026 — My HeartCheck will provide preventative youth heart screenings in Eolia, Missouri, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in memory of DJ Chastain. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Pike Lincoln Tech Center and is open to young people ages 8 to 25.
The memorial HeartCheck is being supported by Devon’s Beat, helping make this potentially life-saving screening opportunity available to families in the community.
Each My HeartCheck screening includes a 12-lead EKG, echocardiogram, blood pressure check, and cardiologist review of the results. Together, these tests provide a more complete look at a young person’s heart by evaluating both the heart’s electrical activity and its structure.
“Many serious heart conditions in kids and young adults can be silent,” said David Kuluva, President and Owner of My HeartCheck. “A child can look healthy, feel healthy, and still have an underlying issue that may not be detected during a routine physical. Events like this give families access to a more complete heart screening and help honor DJ Chastain in a meaningful way.”
My HeartCheck was created to help identify potentially dangerous heart conditions earlier, before a warning sign or cardiac emergency occurs. The organization works with schools, pediatric offices, nonprofits, and community partners to bring accessible screenings to families across the Midwest and beyond.
Families interested in scheduling a screening for the Eolia event can visit MyHeartCheck.org for appointment availability and additional details.
