The ATS HeartCheck uses the most effective analytic tools to understand a heart’s condition.  We include blood pressure, electrocardiogram (EKG), and echocardiogram (heart ultrasound), all delivered by specially trained medical professionals certified in congenital and genetic heart conditions who make their living saving kids lives every day. You won’t find a better screening anywhere!

Here are a few reasons why you should give careful consideration to signing your child up for an appointment.

  • According to the American Heart Association, at least one-half million youth in the U.S. have some form of cardiac problem – that’s 1 in 100 kids.
  • These problems range from minor performance issues to sudden cardiac arrest.
  • This testing goes beyond the standard physical to uncover dangerous-hidden heart conditions.
  • ATS is the most respected youth heart screening programs in the country.

There are a limited number of appointments available so make your appointment before it’s too late.

Screening hearts in memory of Emma Marie Aronson

Emma Marie Aronson passed away on June 5th, 2015. She was swimming in a pool with friends when her heart suddenly stopped. Emma was a healthy 17-year-old girl who was athletic, competitive, fun and full of Life. Her Faith was everything to her! She loved Jesus and boldly shared that with no regrets. She truly lived each day as if it were her last. She could light up a room with her beautiful smile and BIG personality! She loved people and made friends with everyone. She was amazing!

Emma went to Lee’s Summit HS where she played Varsity Basketball. She started playing sports at the age of 4. Over the years she played soccer, lacrosse, softball, track & field and basketball. She loved being part of a team, having a “SQUAD!”

Emma went into Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). There were no warning signs or symptoms to alert anyone or even Emma herself. Her heart was not able to start again and there was nothing anyone could do. SCA was not something we were aware of and we had no idea this could happen to our active, beautiful daughter. Our goal is to help bring awareness of SCA to students, parents, coaches and the community at large.
